Safer care, stronger outcomes

This year, Langley’s hospital critically needs $5.5 million of medical equipment, including:

  • Surgical scopes: Tools with a camera and light to guide laser treatment

  • Cataract surgical tool sets: Used to replace a cloudy lens with a new artificial one

  • Laparoscopic scissors: To cut tissue during minimally invasive surgery

  • Ultrasound: For rapid, non-invasive diagnosis for critically ill patients in the ICU

  • Lab centrifuge: Separates blood samples to allow testing for everything from iron deficiency to cancer screening

  • Fetal monitors: Track a baby’s heart rate and the mother’s contractions
