Building for the Future

Langley Community Health & Hospital Foundation endowments are permanent, invested pools of donated funds that generate reliable and sustainable long-term annual income to fund urgent needs, such as specialized equipment for Langley Memorial Hospital and health services in the community.

Endowments build a future of health care in Langley that will grow stronger every year.

When the endowment principal is invested and protected, portions of the endowment proceeds are distributed every year to plan ahead, respond to urgent health care needs and invest in care beyond what government funding alone can provide.

  • The Guru Nanak Dev Endowment Fund was established by the Giving Hearts Gala Committee in 2025 with a five-year goal of raising $1 million.

The Fund will live in perpetuity to meet urgent needs in equipment, programs and services at Langley Memorial Hospital.

Once the Fund reaches $1 million, Langley’s hospital teams will present their top priorities for funding each year to the Giving Hearts Gala Committee, which will determine how funds will be awarded to create the biggest impact on health care services at Langley Memorial Hospital and in the community.

  • We’re building the future of seniors’ health care in Langley, starting now.

A $3 million Seniors Endowment will fund ongoing equipment and quality-of-life programs in our long-term care facilities.

This is Langley-first leadership: every dollar stays local to strengthen health care services for seniors today and for future generations.

  • The Foundation has set a $5 million goal to continue providing excellent physical and mental health services to Langley youth and children.

Foundry Langley sees over 3,000 visits every month, with youth accessing services such as doctor appointments, psychiatry, social groups, career guidance and more.

Anticipating steady growth, Foundation partners rely on donor support through the Youth Support Fund which will allow Foundry Langley staff to run existing and add new programs and services to meet the needs of youth in our community.

  • With donor support the Foundation will establish a $5 million Surgical Care Fund that will serve as a permanent, invested endowment to support urgent surgical needs at Langley Memorial Hospital.

Our surgeons and caregivers deserve the very best tools and having access to a ready-to-use fund will allow the Foundation to purchase new equipment quickly and without delay.

Your gifts will improve patient outcomes, ensure caregiver safety and bring the best health care to Langley.

  • The Foundation’s Infrastructure Fund supports future capital projects such as a new long-term care facility and expansion of the hospital.

Donor support toward the $50 million goal will help replace the aging South Tower, increasing the number of private inpatient rooms and upgrade procedure and surgical spaces currently limited the hospital building’s design.

With modernization, our caregivers can bring in new technology and improve patient flow resulting in increased access to care.
